To put that into perspective, that means the BEV Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® Banshee will have more than 807 horsepower and 707 lb.-ft. of torque, be able to go from 0-60 MPH in under 3.5 seconds, and have a top speed of well over 200 MPH.

What’s in the Works?
Here’s what we currently know about the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV: it’s AWESOME. While the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV’s interior is expected to be visually similar to the current Jeep JL-series Wrangler, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV will likely feature new technology, such as a biometric recognition system that will possibly be able to differentiate physical features of the vehicle’s owner using features such as facial recognition or fingerprint scanning, to confirm the identity of the driver and lock/unlock the vehicle or start the Jeep’s engine. There may even be four chassis-mounted battery pack configurations and a feature that allows two 2024 Jeep Wrangler EVs to recharge each other. In 2021, when Stellantis unveiled their 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Magneto prototype, the powertrain was said to be capable of 285 horsepower and the cabin would sport all of the classic Jeep features, like removable doors and a removable top. However, until production is complete, information will remain fluid.

The Hurricane twin-turbo I-6 engine features two variants: the Standard Output engine and the High Output engine. The Standard Output Hurricane engine is designed to maximize fuel economy potential without sacrificing high caliber performance. This engine can produce more than 400 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque. Its sister engine, the High Output Hurricane variant, is designed to amplify performance without forfeiting high caliber fuel economy. The High Output Hurricane is capable of producing over 500 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hurricane currently doesn’t just match the performance of V8 engines, it is also over 15% more efficient and produces significantly less tailpipe emissions. Despite how impressive the Hurricane twin-turbo I-6 engine is in its current state, Stellantis won’t stop improving this engine until it produces zero carbon emissions. Barring any hiccups, Stellantis plans to have the Hurricane’s emissions cut in half by 2030 and down to zero carbon emissions by 2038, redefining the standard of high performance engines.
